One time IBM executive, Bob Willard saw the environmental writing on the wall many years ago and began discussing issues like global warming and climate change with friends, relations, colleagues and business associates.
Perhaps not surprisingly he found it hard to engage or sustain their attention but rather than keeping his strongly held views to himself, he decided to research and develop a series of strategies that would make the bottom line dangers of inaction and conversely, the opportunities of action clearly obvious at boardroom level.
Three major books and hundreds of articles later, Bob Willard’s unique understanding of what pushes the corporate buttons when it comes to effective environmental action is in sought across the globe.
As we discovered when we filmed his recent lecture for the Environment Protection Agency, he is an awesomely well informed and persuasive speaker who’s clear-sighted grasp of what’s uppermost in the corporate mind has allowed him to hone environmental messages that resonate where they most need to resonate, with the leaders of businesses around the world that will have a fundamental impact on the future of our planet.
We’re looking forward to working more extensively on these issues with Australian businesses with environmental organizations such as the EPA.
